Assistant Coach - Ms. Lindsey McCormick
Hey guys! I’m coach Lindsey, and this is my third year as the assistant coach for BGSD gymnastics.
I started gymnastics at VEGA when I was 2 years old. My parents took me out when I was a toddler but had to put me back into classes because I wouldn’t stop climbing on things around the house. After that I was a competitive gymnast for 12 years, both in club up until my sophomore year and for all 4 years in high school. I was the captain at Union gymnastics my junior and senior year, and was coached by coach Kota herself. As a gymnast my favorite event was always floor, I loved to tumble! And my favorite skill was either a full layout or an arabian.
Outside of gymnastics, I work as a data analyst for Nordstrom and live in Seattle with my partner of 8 years and my kitty snack Juno. I love spending the winter months back in my hometown of Vancouver where I get to spend time with my family, especially my nieces and nephews, and see old friends. In my free time, I love going to concerts (in 2023 I went to 16), traveling, playing spikeball and volleyball, hanging out with my friends, painting, and baking.
